Loved the UP Theme! :)

Love the UP theme. It's so much fun. I'm almost finished with it. :) One suggestion: perhaps add an extra pot of paint #18 to the base kit. Pot #18 is used a lot and the color requires a 2nd coat. Customers might run out of that color. For my order, my UP kit was missing the small sticker/image of the finished painting - hopefully that was just a packing error? I use those mini-versions as a quick visual reference. Regardless, I loved this theme! Can't wait to finish it! Thank you!!!

Great christmas gift if you are willing to put in the effort

This number by painting came with really good thick acrylic paint and surprisingly good thin brushes that hold their shape even after what feels like hundreds of wipes. When first receiving the canvas it was all folded and put into a small rectangular box with everything else, so the first thing I had to do was get all the creases out. That was my biggest struggle because I didnt have an iron streamer so I had to wait 3-4 ish days so that it would be completely flat so I could frame it. After I stemmed it a bit and put a really heavy metal on top, I made a canvas out of basic wood and stretched the canvas onto it which is what you see in the photo. The kit ONLY COMES WITH THE CANVAS (NOT framed or with wood). I wish it came rolled up besides folded. The brushes were pretty high quality and the paint was too. You might have to do two coats on the light colors and you will see streaks after it dries but thats only if you look close up. Overall I recommend this product but it does take quite a bit of effort to get it stretched and framed. If you are willing to put in the effort then it will come out as a great gift.

Get black paint and you'll be okay

I've finished the house, which appears to be the 'hard part' of this painting (smallest areas and a LOT of detail work). My big complaint is the color that is supposed to be black. It's actually an indigo and almost matches the darkest shade of the underside of the house, leaving no contrast and thus losing much of the detail. I dug into my stash of paints and pulled a true black and used that instead, vastly improved and it looks closer to the picture. I will also note that the paint is much more vivid than in the picture, which might not be your cup of tea. For instance, the house yellow is not mustard-y, it's a bright canary.

so fun!

i bought this product for my sisters birthday and she LOVES it! even though it is very time-consuimg, it is a great activity to do on a rainy day and can be done over the course of many days. The amount of paint they provide is perfect and the thickness of the canvas is great too! Packaging is great and comes with a variety of nice different sized brushes.

Simple but Time-Consuming--but Worth It!

Like any paint by numbers, this product is very simple; just simply paint in the section with the corresponding paint number. Paint by numbers always takes a long time, so completing this (especially considering there is a lot of small sections) is no exception. The brushes aren't the best quality but they all are pretty easy to use. It's cute and looks just like how it shows on the product description, except it does look a bit choppy from up close. It, unfortunately, doesn't come with a frame like other paint by numbers I've tried.
